For Readers

Along with helping you read your textbooks and novels easily, we provide instruction in the principles of reading better. We provide help for beginning readers and for average readers.

We provide a Program of Instruction for Beginning Readers which concentrates on the basic reading skills of decoding, automaticity and fluency and the 23 Basic Comprehension Principles.

We also provide a comprehensive Program of Instruction for Average Readers to turn them into excellent readers.

Proceed in order through Steps (1-9) of our Course and you will improve your regular reading. This preparation will also greatly enhance your use of our software for reading textbooks and novels. Our Course is a series of modules which anyone can progress through in sequence, starting wherever he or she is at currently.

Many good/very good readers are ready to jump right in at Step 8: “Transferring Skills To Reading Textbooks and Novels”. For more insight on where to go for specific skills go to Where To Begin This Course.

All the necessary materials and links for this Course are available for free here on this website. You can access these materials from any computer, anywhere in the world. You can also show other students and your teachers what you are doing. The quick and easy-to-remember name of this website is www.helpmyreading.com. INTERACTION WITH YOUR COACH OR TRAINER. When each student talks to  their coach or trainer, the trainer makes sure the student knows how to use each one of the tools described in this Course.

Then, right here, we will show you how to Transfer These New Skills to reading regular books. This is additional free instruction. You learn how to do this in Step Eight of our Free Reading Improvement Course.

We also enable a student to read any novel or textbook with adjustable voice and text speed up to 1.5 pages per minute (400 wpm). This means that any average book (250 pages) can be read by any student in approximately 3 hours, seeing and hearing every word, by sentence, with high comprehension and enjoyment. Text can be repeated as it is read, or just as desired. All students in middle school, high school, college and graduate school can use this program.

FIRST GOALS

Our first task is to immediately eliminate all reading anxiety and frustration. In order to do this we show you how to process text with an approach that is tailored to your exact needs. Then you practice with this technique until you are ready to move up to the next technique that is right for you. As soon as you  are ready, we help you move up.

You read actual literature that is age and interest appropriate. There is no “drill and kill” in our program.

You will immediately be able to process the text your are reading, and do so with enjoyment and understanding. Any book or text on the  Internet can be read with any of our approaches, using our software. Our software improves auditory memory, visual memory and thinking about what the text is saying.
